My own journey to finding a healthier, more balanced lifestyle has given me insight into the many challenges one encounters on the journey. This enables me to bring a high level of empathy, respect, and understanding to my clients needs, their aspirations and goals.

Through experiencing my own health challenges and going on my own life changing journey, I realised I was not the only one suffering extremes of poor health.
As a Registered Nurse living a busy life filled with kids, work and other daily pressures, I realised that "normal" was actually a constant state of hyperactivity - STRESS. Specifically - Chronic Stress!!
I was time poor, had poor nutrition, ongoing digestive issues (IBS, & slow gut motility) and I had lost a significant amount of weight. As a result my sleep, moods, happiness, and consequently, family dynamics - were all stretched to the MAXIMUM! It was time to reassess!
I set out on a path to heal myself and take back control of my health and well being. After making some adjustments, with a specific focus on nutrition, mindset and behaviour change, things improved dramatically.
That was a few years ago! Thankfully I now have very few symptoms and am able to live & love life to the full.
After my own journey of realisation I began hearing a familiar theme at the bedside while caring for my patients. Comments such as:
"I'm going to lose weight", from a patient recovering from a heart attack.
"I'm going to quit smoking", from a patient after heart bypass surgery.
"I know I need to retire, but I'm scared I won't know what to do", from a 75yo man who still worked & ran his own architecture business - fulltime.
"I want to be here to see my grandkids grow up"
"I want to walk my daughter down the aisle - she gets married in 6 months time".
This was all the encouragement I needed to realise that there were many people experiencing similar stories to mine. So I retrained and now as a Health Coach I have just one major goal for the clients I work with.

Change is never easy, it takes commitment, grit, determination, resilience and above all else, the right tools and support crew around you.
As a result of my own personal experience I understand how important it is to have solid and reliable support around you when you are vulnerable.
