Hello! I’m Nikki

Remedial Massage Therapy

Nikki has been practicing as a masseuse for over seven years. She completed her Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2022. In May 2023, she qualified as a Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner and is now completing her certificate in dry needling. She also holds certificates in Swedish, Trigger Point, and Deep Tissue massage and is a member of the ALA and Massage & Myotherapy Australia.

Nikki discovered her passion for massage during her former career as a veterinary nurse and certified animal trainer. She was initially drawn to massage to help break the ‘self-indulgence versus self-care’ stigma. A big advocate for consistent, monthly care, Nikki enjoys creating a safe place for people to have some time out, focus on their own health, and reduce both their physical and mental stresses.

“I like connecting with my clients, ensuring they feel heard and understand their treatment plan. I encourage clients to continue their self-care in their everyday life, so that they can live life to the fullest. Whether it be a maintenance session, a de-stress relaxation session, or a specific injury that needs rehab – I am honored to be a part of each individual’s journey”.

Nikki’s next step as a therapist is further training in the area of Lymphatic Drainage. She will be teaming up with a specialist to broaden her skill set and is endeavoring to expand the equipment used to treat Oedema and scar tissue.

Nikki moved from South Australia to Margaret River with her husband and is often seen fishing, walking her dog and drinking coffee at the local markets. She loves surfing, finding that it is emotionally cleansing, keeps her body moving and motivates her to stretch and stay fit. She values how her personal interest in movement and fitness augments her professional training.

Remedial Massage Therapy

About

A remedial therapist aims to balance the length and tone of the muscles by releasing tension in the soft tissues. Remedial massage regulates the central nervous system, increases circulation and lymphatic flow, and creates ease and mobility in the myofascial system. There is a vast of array of remedial techniques available. Nikki utilises Swedish, Deep tissue, Trigger point and Myofascial release. She also provides pregnancy, hot stone massage and reflexology.

client care

Nikki enjoys using the full scope of techniques at her disposal to meet the individual needs of each client. When needed her style is firm and to the point, but she is equally comfortable helping clients switch into their rest and relax parasympathetic state. Nikki utilises gait analysis to identify areas of tension and compensatory movement patterns. She believes that achieving the best results requires open communication and movement education to help clients understand ‘why’ pain is occurring and how they can adapt their movements to become pain free.
