Osteopath

Nicola is a fully qualified osteopath registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She attended the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Complimentary Medicine) in 2009 and a Masters of Osteopathy in 2011. She is a member of Osteopathy Australia.

Nicola is drawn to osteopathy by its holistic philosophy and gentle hands on approach. She values the large range of techniques available to osteopaths that enable her to care for clients of all ages and treat a wide variety of conditions. 

‘I particularly love working with clients over a longer term, to truly unravel their mechanical puzzle. The result is longer lasting balance and optimised function.’ 

Nicola has undertaken post graduate study in the fields of Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, Visceral Manipulation and Anatomy Trains in Motion.

Osteopaths primarily see people for the management of pain and injury. Practitioners use a combination of manual therapy, movement and health education strategies to promote health. Osteopathy is considered a holistic modality, that aims to dynamically balance the whole body, using a global or systems thinking approach to care.

Nicola has a passion for caring for and empowering the ‘whole person’. She believes that good health is a daily practice for which each individual is responsible. As a health practitioner, her role is to guide, facilitate and educate, ultimately empowering clients towards greater health. Her approach to healthcare strives to be holistic and takes into consideration all factors that affect health.
